چکیده
Abstract In this commentary, we explored the advances made in miRNA and sepsis-induced acute lung injury (ALI) from perspective of diagnosis treatment. miRNAs play an important role ALI, including regulation inflammation, apoptosis, oxidative stress, thereby participating progression ALI. can act as therapeutic or diagnostic targets Also, development alternative inhibitory drugs targeting specific may be great significance treating ALI improving prognosis sepsis patients.

Mortality in sepsis versus non-sepsis induced acute lung injury
INTRODUCTION Sepsis-induced acute lung injury (ALI) has been reported to have a higher case fatality rate than other causes of ALI. However, differences in the severity of illness in septic vs. non-septic ALI patients might explain this finding. METHODS 520 patients enrolled in the Improving Care of ALI Patients Study (ICAP) were prospectively characterized as having sepsis or non sepsis-indu...
متن کاملTime course changes of oxidative stress and inflammation in hyperoxia-induced acute lung injury in rats
Objective(s):Therapies with high levels of oxygen are commonly used in the management of critical care. However, prolonged exposure to hyperoxia can cause acute lung injury. Although oxidative stress and inflammation are purported to play an important role in the pathogenesis of acute lung injury, the exact mechanisms are still less known in the hyperoxic acute lung injury (HALI). Materials ...
متن کاملRecent Advances on Biomarkers of Sepsis-induced Acute Kidney Injury
SEPSIS is a complex clinical syndrome involving both infection and a deleterious host immune response. Actue Kidney Injury (AKI) is a frequent and serious complication of sepsis in Intensive Care Unitpatient (ICU). Despite recent impressive advances in the pathophysiology, diagnostic procedures, and appropriate therapeutic interventions in sepsis, sepsis-induced AKI fails to reduce the overwhel...
متن کاملTime-dependent changes of autophagy and apoptosis in lipopolysaccharide-induced rat acute lung injury
Objective(s): Abnormal lung cell death including autophagy and apoptosis is the central feature in acute lung injury (ALI). To identify the cellular mechanisms and the chronology by which different types of lung cell death are activated during lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced ALI, we decided to evaluate autophagy (by LC3-II and autophagosome) and apoptosis (by caspase-3) at different time point...
